One of the highlights is the about 10-minute-long firework on Saturday evening.

The pyrotechnic spectacle starts after nightfall at about 10:00 p.m.

In front of the incomparable scenery, which the romantic Rhine river valley with its steep ascending hills and its castles high above the Rhine river offers, exploding fireworks light up the night and draw breathtaking pictures against the sky of the Rhine river hills above St. Goar.

The firework is also an acoustically special experience. At the rock slopes, the exploding sounds of the saluting gun and rockets echoes several times.

It's especially delightful to experience the firework from a boat on the Rhine river. A sole entertainer entertains the passenger guests during the round boat cruise on all boats with happy live music for the upcoming event. Your physical well-being is taken care of on board. Besides other dishes, vegetarian dishes are also offered. The boat trip becomes a special experience already because of the nice view towards the charming landscape, the medieval castles and the picturesque  little towns on the middle Rhine river.

Boat trip from the north:
Coming from the north, a boat starts in Boppard from the left side of the Rhine river. In Boppard you can enjoy the view of the castle Kurtrierische Burg, which was built in the 14th century under archbishop and elector Balduin from Trier as toll castle at the upper current corner of the town fortification.

Further along on the trip, you'll pass Bad Salzig with the boat, a smug town part of Boppard on the left Rhine river banks, and arrive the pilgrimage town Kamp-Bornhofen on the right Rhine river banks. On the boat landing stage in the town part of Kamp there's the possibility for further boat passengers to embark.
In Kamp-Bornhofen, your look will be aimed at the well-known castle ruins Liebenstein and Sterrenberg, also better known under the name as the "enemy brothers".

The trip goes on past the town Kestert, which is on the right Rhine river side, the town Hirzenach, which is on the left Rhine river side (a town part of Boppard) and the town Wellmich, which is on the right Rhine river side (a town part of St. Goarshausen) with the in the 14th century built castle Maus (mouse), the favorite residence of the Trier archbishops Kuno († 1388) and Werner († 1418) from Falkenstein, as well as the castle ruin Rheinfels (middle 13th century) above St. Goar, one of the most impressive medieval castle sites on the Rhine river.

At the boat landing stage in St. Goar on the left Rhine river banks there's another possibility to embark, as well as a couple of minutes later in the sister town on the opposite side in St. Goarshausen, where the in the 14th century built castle Katz (cat) arises.

On the further round trip the boat passes the legendary Lorelei rock on the right Rhine river side and Oberwesel on the left Rhine river side with two worth seeing collegiate churches (Liebfrauenkirche = St. Mary's Church, Martinskirche = St. Martin's Church) and the castle Schonburg, until it reaches the small town Kaub with the castle Gutenfels from the 13th century and the water castle Pfalzgrafenstein on the rock cliff Falkenau in the Rhine river. There the boat turns and drives back to the firework between St. Goar and St. Goarshausen near Lorelei rock.

Boat trip from the south:
Coming from the south a boat starts in Winkel (town part of Ostrich-Winkel) in the Rheingau on the right Rhine river banks, about 8 km east of Rudesheim. The boat drives to the touristic attraction Rudesheim with its Niederwalddenkmal monument.
There's also the further possibility for further passengers to embark as well as a couple of minutes later in the slanting opposite lied town Bingen on the mouth of the Nahe river in the Rhine river.

Above Bingen the castle Klopp from the 13th century arises. Even more well-known is also the in the 14th century built toll castle Ehrenfels as prison tower of kurmainzischen Mauseturm (mouse tower) on a rock cliff in the Rhine river, the emblem of Bingen.

On the further trip to the next stop in Kaub, more castles and smug Rhine river towns will be passed. On the right Rhine river side the ruin Ehrenfels can be seen, before very soon Assmannshausen is reached. Assmannshausen on the opposite side greets the castle Rheinstein. It is first in the 19th century rebuilt castle on the Rhine river.

It goes further on past Trechtingshausen on the left Rhine river side with the probable already in the 11th built castle Reichenstein, as well as the on the left Rhine river side lied castle Sooneck at the steep towards the Rhine river sloping Soonwald forest, the town Niederheimbach with the castle Heimburg, the on the right Rhine river side towns Lorch with the ruin Nollig and Lorchhausen, the left Rhine river side towns Rheindiebach with castle ruin Furstenberg from the 13th century and Bacharach with the castle Stahleck from the 12th century as well as the water castle Pfalzgrafenstein on the rock cliff Falkenau in the Rhine river, before finally docking in Kaub on the right Rhine river banks and further passengers can be able to embark.

Above Kaub the castle Gutenfels arises from the 13th century.
The next stop with embarkation possibility is Oberwesel on the left Rhine river side. High above the town the castle Schonburg arises. In Oberwesel the two collegiate churches, Liebfrauenkirche (St. Mary's Church) and Martinskirche (St. Martin's Church) attract your views.

About 4 km behind Oberwesel the legendary Lorelei rock emerges. From there, it's not that much further to the boat landing stage in St. Goarshausen on the right Rhine river side. Above the town, the in the second half of the 14th century built castle Katz (cat) arises.

On the opposite side in St. Goar the passengers embark for the last time, before the boat takes its position for the firework between St. Goar and St. Goarshausen near Lorelei rock.
